The guide to the perfect pout

1. MAC St. Germain - So, if you are trying to be bold and fun, this is the lipstick that you need in your life. It is such a vibrant (almost neon) shade of pink, and it really does speak for itself. This lipstick could be the final touch to so many outfits.

2. MAC Stripdown - I really do love pink shades in the summer, but sometimes I need to switch it up. This lip pencil is a really cool shade of brown, and I love to line and fill in my lips with it, and then top it off with a nude lip stick.

3. Josie Maran Argan Lip Treatment - I have talked about this lip product before, but I felt that it was
necessary to bring up again because I literally use it everyday. In summer, I like to go natural because being sweaty with makeup on is the worst, but I will always put a little bit of this on. It seriously makes your lips feel like butter, and it is so moisturizing. I'm not kidding when I say you need this in your life.

4. Yves Saint Laurent Lingerie Pink - Not only does this lipstick have the most beautiful packaging, but it is such great product as well. This lipstick is so smooth, and such a pretty shade of pink. It is pricey, but it is worth the splurge. I promise.

5. Two Faced Pink Rose - Two faced really is one of my favorite cosmetic lines. I don't think that I have ever tried a product from them that I wasn't obsessed with. These lipsticks are amazing because they are so creamy, and so pigmented. I love this shade, but you really can't go wrong with any of them.

6. MAC Like Venus - I have tried out a whole lot of lip glosses, and trust me when I say that this one is my favorite. If you are searching for the perfect pink summer lip gloss, this is the one for you.

the season of rompers

Photos by Stephanie Drenka

Rompers that I am LOVING: ASOSASOSZaraNordstrom,  Shoes: Target,  White Iridescent Bracelet: Kendra Scott, Turquoise Bracelet: Toni Hurlbut, Gold Studded Bracelet: Nordstrom

Who doesn't love to be comfortable? I know I do. I used to think the only road to comfort, was athletic clothes, but then, I discovered rompers. Rompers not only give you the desired comfort, but they also give you the desired look. What could be better than that? Sadly, this romper sold out very quickly but I still wanted to help y'all out, so I attached a few of my favorites. XOXO

that typical lbd

I know that y'all have probably heard this so many times, but having that perfect LBD is such a crucial staple to have in your closet. They are so versatile, and can be worn so many different ways. I scored this dress a a while ago, but I linked another one of my favorites. What are y'alls favorites LBDs?

June Favorites

1. Prada Wallet - Okay, so lets just start with talking about how BEAUTIFUL this wallet is. I have been obsessed with this wallet for a while now, but it is definitely  on the pricier side of things so I just admired it from a far. When graduation came around, I got a package from my family, and out came this beauty. I wish someone could have been there to capture my facial expressions, because i'm sure they were hilarious. Needless to say, this wallet is my favorite and will be for a very long time.

2. Zigi Sandals - Incase you haven't been able to tell, these are my favorite sandals. I'm always looking for that perfect statement piece for my outfits, and these definitely do the job.

3. BDG Mid-Rise Tomgirl Denim Short - I literally live in these shorts during the summer. They aren't too short or tight, and I love how distressed they are (they look more distressed in person). If you are needing a good new pair of shorts, I highly recommend these and they are on SALE!!

4. Sally Hansen Airbrush Legs Leg Makeup - When I say I don't tan, I am not exaggerating. I can lay out in the sun for hours and not get any darker whatsoever. I am constantly using all types of tanning products to get that "summer glow", and this has been my favorite. It's instant which is nice, and also washes off in the shower. It gives you the perfect amount of color, and the application does not need to be perfect because of how easy it is to get off.

5. MAC Blankety - This has been my everyday lip color for quite a while now. It is such a pretty nude, and has the slightest pink undertone in it. If you are ever wondering what color lipstick I am wearing, there is about a 99.999% chance that it is this.

Workout Guide

Tank: Nike,  Leggings: Victorias Secret, Shoes: Nike, Sports Bra: Gap

So, in the summer I am always working out. Partly because it is swimsuit season, but also because working out is a HUGE stress reliever for me, and I love to be healthy. Below I listed some of my workout tips, and my go to workouts.

For makeup:  When I go to the gym, I don’t typically where makeup, but some days I look like I got hit by a train so I decide a little makeup will be needed.  When I do wear makeup, I use a light BB Cream (this one is my favorite), some argan lip oil, and a slight bit of mascara. It’s super breathable, and super light.

For Clothes: When I work out, I like tighter fitting clothing because I personally feel like baggier clothes get in the way. The tank top above is about as loose as I will go.  My favorite work out pants are by Victoria Secret, and for anything else I mainly use Nike, Target, or Gap (they seriously all have the best/ most comfortable workout gear).

My Favorite Workouts: I am a class type of girl. I don’t know what it is about them, but I work out SO much harder in a class. My favorite classes are Insanity and Pure Barre. Insanity is a super intense 45- minute cardio workout that works your whole body. You will sweat like crazy (so bring a towel and water).  Pure Barre is a class where you don’t necessarily sweat, but your whole body will be burning.  It adds so much muscle to your body, and you work muscles that you didn’t even know were in your body. The two classes together (Insanity and Pure Barre) work wonders, and have shown me results the fastest.

Accented Neutral

Dress: MINKPINK, Bag: Rebecca Minkoff, Shoes: Zigi, Necklace local boutique (similar here), Wrap Bracelet: Tory Burch, White Iridescent Bracelet: Kendra Scott

Beauty is pain, right? Well, I totally agree with that. Those stilettos, girl they hurt but they look good, so we act like the pain isn’t THAT bad even though we can barely walk by the end of the night.

Although, I sure do like wearing my heels, I also LOVE to be comfortable and, of course, stylish. This t-shirt dress, and these statement gladiator sandals make that very possible. What are y’alls go to comfort pieces?

cheetah chic

Dress: Nordstrom (old), Shoes: Zigi, Bag: Tory Burch

Over the years, I’ve learned that fashion is subjective. The other day, I walked down stairs in this outfit and lets just say, my mom was not the biggest fan. At first, I was slightly offended, but then I realized everyone has a different style and that is a good thing.

Next time you see an outfit you don’t like, don’t judge, just realize everyone has their own unique style and they probably LOVE what they’re wearing. If everyone dressed the same, fashion wouldn’t exist and well… that would be a tragedy!  As long as your style reflects who you are, you’re rockin’ it!

Skorts

Top: Urban Outfitters,  Skort: Urban Outfitters (in stores only),  Necklace: Forever 21 (similar here), Shoes: Sam Edelman (old),  Bag: Prada

Never did I think that "skorts" would be trending again. At first, I was a little iffy about the trend just because it reminded me to much of my elementary school days, but I decided to give them a go. I am so happy I did, because they really are the best of both worlds. Fashion sure does have a funny way of repeating itself.

Sunny Days

All the fun little tank tops in my closet were calling my name for the longest time, but the Dallas weather wasn't exactly cooperating. It's finally sunny enough for me to break them out... Lets hope the weather stays this way, because these clouds are really killing my happy vibes! :)

Summer Beauty Essentials

1. Essie Good Morning Hope - I am obsessed with this nail color for Summer. It is the PERFECT light pink to make a nice tan pop, and adds a feminine touch to every outfit.

2. NARS Radiant Creamy Concealer - This is the perfect concealer for Summer. It is so weightless, but also gives a great amount of coverage. This concealer is a bit pricey, but definitely worth the splurge.

3. Urban Decay Perversion Mascara - If you are looking for a mascara that does not clump up (because who wants clumpy lashes), and creates a false eyelash look without the false lashes... YOU NEED THIS. It is without a doubt my favorite mascara.

4. Bare Minerals Blush - This is a great natural looking blush. My favorite shades are "The One" which is more of a nude pink, and "The Faux Paus" which is a bright, bold pink.

5. MAC Lipstick - Oh my goodness, I cannot say enough good things about any MAC lipsticks. They are 100% my favorite, and they are a great price for the quality. For summer, I love a nice pink lip which is where MAC comes in handy because they have SO many shades to choose from. My favorites are "Show Orchid" and "Pink Plaid".

6. NARS Sheer Glow Foundation - I am definitely a liquid foundation type of girl, but sometimes they can be a bit cakey. After trying foundation after foundation, I came across this one and fell in love with it. It provides a great amount of coverage, but still looks very natural and is very lightweight which is perfect for summer. I am in the shade "Santa Fe".

7. Anastasia Beverly Hills Contour Kit - "WOW" is the first word that comes to mind when I think of this pallet. Every powder is so pigmented, and you have three different bronzing shades for when you get a nice tan in the summer. I was a bit hesitant to buy this, but I PROMISE you, it is worth every penny.

CAMOLICOUS

Photos by Stephanie Drenka

Dress: Forever 21, Jacket: Forever 21, Necklace: Banana Republic, Shoes: Bakers (similar here)

What is my new favorite accessory? CAMO. My goodness, when I say that it makes any outfit look 10X’s cooler, I am not kidding. Camo might be a must when going hunting, but it’s also just as crucial for your outfit. Camo adds a little extra “sass” to a plain black dress or a simple T-shirt with jeans, and lets be honest… Who doesn’t want a little more “sass” in their life??

BOYFRIEND JEANS ARE A MUST

Photos by Suki Lynn

Top: Zara, Jeans: Urban Outfitters, Shoes: Charles David, Belt: Forever 21 (similar here), Necklace: Toni Hurlbut

The trick to mastering the “oh, I didn’t put any effort into this outfit, but I’m still looking stylish” look, are boyfriend jeans. They add the "cool factor" to any look, and the best thing about them is their comfort. Boyfriend jeans will be one of my summer staples to add edge and style to any look. What are some your summer staples?
